The World Cup Cookbook isn't just a cookbook. It’s a journey that takes you to the world’s best footballing nations, introduces you to the locals, let’s you hear their stories and gives you a taste of their national identity.
As lifelong non-chef and football fan, I have aimed to capture the joyful soul of each World Cup nation’s cuisine in an easy way that’s a whole lot of fun. You’ll be transported to the colorful streets of Colombia with our empanadas, get lost in
Italy’s tangle of ruins with our pizzas and take a safari through Ghana with a traditional meal of beef and rice. With vibrant photography and authentic recipes from everyday chefs, we have you covered for every World Cup occasion.
At the 2006 World Cup in Germany I was lucky enough to stay with a local friend, Dennis, who welcomed me into his family, immersing me in German culture and cuisine – from home brewed beer to black forest cake to venison goulash (featured in the book). To this day when I taste any of those flavors, the best experiences I had at the World Cup come back to me. I hope this book can help you to create the same kind of memories.
So prepare to eat your way through the cuisine of the best footballing nations - going on a food carnival like no other.

World Cup Cookbook 32 Recipes from each World Cup Nation eBook Brendan Hill Reviews
I got this as a present for my mothers birthday and she loved it! It helped her get creative in the kitchen and has opened her up to some recipes she had never even considered before. This book is so good I had to borrow it for myself to test out my cooking skills. If you love food and you love football then this book is a must!
Such a diverse CookBook!!! What I liked most about it, was how simple the recipes were to follow & I was surprised to find that most of the ingredients are so easy to find in your local supermarket. The desserts and cocktails section was an added bonus & I loved the visuals and images throughout the book. Have added many new meals to my weekly dinners!!!
The World Cup Cook Book is a mouth watering way to extend your enjoyment of the 2014 World Cup. My favourite recipe has to be the empanadas! I love the way that this book brings recipe inspiration from around the world, I enjoyed reading the information on each of the cooks almost as much as cooking and eating the delicious food. The beautiful photos and artwork are also a visual delight.
I'd recommend the book for football fans far and wide and if you're not into your football your taste buds will still love the food.
This is officially my favourite cookbook ever! Where else can you find a diversity of recipes like this? It covers every continent and every meal! Plus cocktails, for when you're done eating. The vego ceviche went down a treat, and I can't wait to try the other vego meals or vegetarianise many of the others. This is a great gift for any lover of football and/or food. The paperback version has pride of place in my kitchen. Lucky the world cup isn't every year, else my kitchen would fill up with every new edition! There will be new editions right?
Great publication, nice job!!!!
I was really looking forward to the launch of this book. And I wasn't disappointed; on the contrary! Easy to follow recipes, wonderful stories and great pictures. Inspiration for a whole new way of cooking.
